This website describes GoSafe (a proof of concept, not open to the public) and previously described KIP, a voice-first executive co-pilot app for the car that is in build and not released. Neither product has user accounts yet. This page explains how to have your personal information deleted: what you can delete today, and — stated honestly as design commitments — how deletion will work inside the KIP app once it exists.
When KIP is listed on Google Play, this page is the account and data deletion resource for that listing. You can make a deletion request here by email, without reinstalling the app. Full processing details are in the Privacy Policy, and the third parties that handle data are listed on the Subprocessors page.
1. What you can delete today: your interest-list or waitlist entry
The only personal information this website collects is your entry on the GoSafe interest list or the earlier KIP waitlist. It holds:
- your email address (required);
- your name (optional);
- a free-text note (optional);
- a consent timestamp;
- source/utm strings recording how you found the page and which product the entry was given for.
It is stored with Cloudflare (D1). Unless you allow Google Analytics, the site sets no cookies beyond Cloudflare's essential infrastructure; traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports only aggregates — never who you are. Google Analytics runs only with your consent; withdrawing that consent via the footer's Analytics choices link removes its cookies from your device. We use a GoSafe entry to contact you about GoSafe and for aggregate demand research; a KIP waitlist entry is used only for the KIP purposes it was given for. The lawful basis is your consent — a checkbox that is unticked by default.
You can withdraw that consent and have your entry deleted at any time. Deletion removes the whole record: email, name, note, timestamp, and source strings. Figures already rolled into aggregate, de-identified counts (for example, how many people joined in a month) contain nothing that identifies you and are not affected.
2. What deletion will look like in the app
KIP is in build. Nothing in this section is live. These are design commitments, published now so you can hold us to them at launch.
- Account deletion in-app. You will be able to delete your account from inside the app itself. No email or support ticket will be required, though the email route on this page will always work as well.
- What gets erased. Your account and profile, your session transcripts, and your tasks, approvals, and canon content. Sessions are transcript-only — raw audio is never persisted, so there are no voice recordings to delete. Every session opens with an audible and visible recording notice.
- Routine retention. Session transcripts are designed to be kept for a target of 90 days and then deleted in the normal course, whether or not you ever ask.
- Where your data lives. Canon data is stored in Google Cloud's africa-south1 region. Live voice audio transits US provider edges (xAI, OpenAI) under provider data-processing agreements with no-training and zero-data-retention terms — processed in the moment, not stored. Dispatch traffic transits GitHub. Deletion instructions will be passed to our subprocessors: xAI (realtime voice), OpenAI (voice seam), Anthropic (report and message drafting), Google Cloud (canon storage, africa-south1), GitHub (dispatch), and Cloudflare (website and waitlist hosting).
- What may be lawfully retained, and why. Deletion will remove everything except records the law obliges us to keep. Honestly stated, that means: billing and tax records if you have paid us, which company and tax law require us to keep for fixed statutory periods; a minimal record of your deletion request itself, so we can prove we actioned it; and security and audit logs for a short, defined period. Anything retained on these grounds is kept only as long as the legal obligation lasts, then deleted. De-identified data that can no longer be linked to you falls outside deletion, because it identifies no one.
3. How to make a request
Email the Information Officer, Charl le Roux, at charl@alteragro.com with the subject line "Data deletion request".
- Send the request from the email address on your entry (or, once the app is live, from your account email).
- We verify the request by replying to that address. A short confirming reply from the same address completes verification. This prevents someone else deleting your data without your knowledge.

There is no charge for a deletion request.
4. Timeline
We action verified deletion requests within 30 days. An interest-list or waitlist deletion is a single record and will usually be done much sooner. If anything prevents us meeting the 30 days, we will tell you before the deadline and explain why. We confirm in writing once deletion is complete.
5. If you are not satisfied
You have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa), the supervisory authority under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA): https://inforegulator.org.za, POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, 2001. We would value the chance to resolve the issue first, but you do not need our permission to approach the Regulator.
