What is KIP?

KIP, short for Kinetic Ops, is a voice-first executive co-pilot for the car, in build by Yield SPM (Pty) Ltd in South Africa. It goes after work that waits for a person: the proposal that sits in a queue until someone is at a desk, the ten-second decision that waits three days, the driving hour in which a business goes quiet. KIP is being built to answer from your own business canon and to take your decisions by voice, with anything that needs your eyes or hands held back until you are parked. It is not released yet.

What does "Kinetic Ops" mean?

The name comes from aviation. On a flight deck, the magenta line is the course the pilot flies; "follow the magenta line" is co-pilot doctrine, and holding that line is what a co-pilot is for. KIP is being built to do that job for your operations: hold your heading, so the course your business is on does not drift while you are away from your desk. Kinetic Ops means exactly that — operations that keep moving.

Who builds KIP?

KIP is built by Yield SPM (Pty) Ltd, registration 2024/185151/07, a South African company. Its place of business is Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. Its registered office — the address for service of legal process only — is 23 Kameeldoringdraai, Woodland Hills, Bloemfontein, Free State, 9301. The company's Information Officer is reachable at charl@alteragro.com.

Is KIP available now?

No. KIP is in build and has not been released; there is no app store listing yet. A pilot programme is planned for 2026. The waitlist on kinetic-ops.app is the way to register interest.

How will KIP handle safety in the car?

Safety in KIP is product design, not a disclaimer. While the vehicle is moving, KIP is voice-only: no handheld interaction, nothing that asks for your eyes. Approvals and anything that needs a screen wait in a queue until you are parked — a rule enforced in the product itself, not left to willpower. KIP has nothing to say about how you drive; it exists so that work does not compete with the road.

Does KIP record conversations?

KIP sessions are transcript-only by design: raw audio is never persisted. Every session opens with an audible and visible recording notice, and users are responsible for making passengers aware a session is active. The retention target for transcripts is 90 days. Deletion requests go to the Information Officer at charl@alteragro.com, and complaints about the handling of personal information may be taken to South Africa's Information Regulator under POPIA.

Where does KIP data live?

KIP's canon — transcripts, decisions, and business knowledge — is designed to live on Google Cloud in the africa-south1 region, in South Africa. Live voice audio is a different path, and we say so plainly: it transits the US edges of the voice providers, xAI and OpenAI, under data-processing agreements with no-training and zero-data-retention terms. The full subprocessor list is xAI (realtime voice), OpenAI (voice seam), Google Cloud (canon storage, africa-south1), GitHub (dispatch), and Cloudflare (this website and its waitlist). The website itself runs no analytics trackers and sets no cookies beyond Cloudflare's essential infrastructure.

What will KIP cost?

KIP's pricing has not been announced. The product is in build, and we will not publish a price before there is a released product to attach it to. Joining the waitlist costs nothing.

Will KIP run on iOS or Android?

Both are planned. KIP is not on either store yet; any store badges on kinetic-ops.app are placeholders until release. Store links will appear on kinetic-ops.app when the apps are released.

How do I join the pilot programme?

Join the waitlist at kinetic-ops.app. It asks for an email address; a name and a short note are optional, and nothing is stored without your consent — the checkbox is unticked by default. The information is used for two things only: contacting pilot-programme candidates and understanding aggregate demand. You can have your entry removed at any time by writing to the Information Officer at charl@alteragro.com.

Anything this page does not answer: support@kinetic-ops.app is activating; until it is live, write to charl@alteragro.com. KIP's terms are governed by the law of South Africa.

Store badges on this site are placeholders until KIP is released; live App Store and Google Play links will replace them at release.
